The Mega-Phor is a high capacity horizontal submarine electrophoresis unit. Due to an efficient heat exchanger, the running time is significantly reduced. Up to 410 samples can be loaded on the gel. (The VarioTips 12-9 prove to be helpful for sample loading !) The Ephor-Ic I
is a vertical submarine mono-tank electrophoresis unit. The size
of the tank is 17 cm wide by 13 cm high. The buffer volume is 700
ml. The glass plates (17 x 12 and 17 x 10 cm) are not notched.
The Elfe system is a preparative electrophoresis unit, using cylindrical gels. The resolution stand comparison with horizontal electrophoresis apparatus. The reason is due to the fact that no pump is used to elute the molecules at the bottom of the gel. The implementation of the Elfe System is easy and fast.
